How It Really Begins – The Addiction Path No One Talks About”
Try digital detox today — your future self will thank you.
Doomscrolling and revenge bedtime procrastination are main part of the problem — with bedtime scrolling usually being common among working adults.
But there’s another serious issue — often overlooked, yet very real.
A small child gets addicted to mobile games. Then as they grow older, they miss a few things in reels… and eventually get exposed to adult content at a very early age . Due to their age, there’s obvious curiosity — and adult content creators exploit this fully.
- Note : Earlier, the surroundings somehow delayed this exposure, allowing kids to understand the value of problems, hard work, success, and real pleasure. Nowadays may be some kids are vulnerable. But more often than not, smartphones are so powerful that they manipulate kids and teens into thinking pleasure is all that matters, and that it’s smart to enjoy pleasure without going through problems, hard work, or success.
Once they are curious and have easy access to smartphone. They get addicted to both adult content and the validation from likes on social media. Their self-esteem drops, because deep down, they know they’re trapped.
Dopamine levels shoot up unnaturally, and soon, even the phone can’t keep up.
So they start looking for more pleasure — at any cost.
That’s when some begin searching for illegal substances.
Now, the chances are high — they either get addicted to those… or stay trapped in a toxic mix of mobile content and harmful alternatives.
We often miss how bad it can get — because we assume everyone will be smart enough not to ruin their life.
But that’s wrong.
Some addictions cannot be undone.
It’s rare to recover fully.
Addictions can only be avoided — and that’s by not trying them in the first place.
So what’s the solution? Is there a way that’s easy, safe, permanent, and happy?
Yes.
- ->Awareness , be aware of the dangers and become so disciplined that you’re always prepared — always clear about what not to try.
And if you’ve already fallen into a trap once — stay alert and never take shelter under the same habit again. - ->Routine (or for some: awareness + habit / awareness + discipline). Create a system so you don’t fall into bad habits. Have a support system and feedback system – Your family, mentors, friends and surroundings matter. They can alert you when you start drifting off track.
- ->Keeping your dopamine base level low — so that your brain stays capable of working hard, achieving goals, and improving consistently. It’s not that people in the past didn’t fall for illegal substances. But back then, it was often due to excess wealth, lack of responsibility, or a reckless mindset to enjoy life — even at the cost of ruining self-respect or their future. Sometimes, they were simply influenced by the wrong group. Nowadays main reason is due to having dopamine base levels very high.
- ->And most importantly — get a good job (or skill training), stay busy, and keep working towards your goals.
- ->Start with daily digital detox. (change font till doomscrolling, since all points belong to this point)
- -> *Reduces the time spent on phone.
- ->*Keeps you self disciplined
- ->*Keeps your dopamine base levels low .
- ->*You’ll get used to staying away from your phone. That builds confidence and more importantly increases willpower, helping you avoid doomscrolling completely — or at least reduce the time you spend doomscrolling.
Distractions from smartphone particularly at wrong time of the day like late night gives only negative effects — they waste your time, drain your energy, and leave you feeling worse.
Those are the ones you must cut out.
